Most students can download Visio to their personal computer for free through Columbia's Microsoft Software Portal (CBS students should visit the Business School student page instead). If you would like your department to be eligible so that you can download the software, please submit a ticket to the CUIT Service Desk and we will review the fee with you and help you with the process.

If you are not eligible, you will not be able to download the installer and will be redirected to a page with additional information. If your department receives IT support from CUIT's Desktop Support department, Visio is included as part of your desktop support fee and is not subject to an additional cost. The cost is $4.49 per full-time employee per year. Microsoft Visio is optional software for your Columbia-owned computer. If you need help with this software after installing it on a home computer, please get support from a third-party service provider in your local area. Microsoft Visio is a diagramming software program for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
